Outstanding Graduate Outcomes in 2025
There are a few things that we know can help the graduate success of our students. We know that earlier and more regular engagement with the Careers Service can help students to progress their career planning and try out more new experiences.
Speaking of experiences, we know that all forms of work experience can make a graduate more employable, in particular, real-world work experiences, projects and placements are very impactful.
Students prefer larger, employer-led event in person to other sessions or events and regularly request sector specific employer led activity.
The schemes, programmes, and activities you’ll read about on this webpage all massively contribute to student engagement, the acquisition of work experience and the following graduate outcomes:
- Year on year, more than 75% of graduates from Exeter go into ‘highly skilled’ employment*
- • We maintain a high level in graduate outcomes ‘destination scores’ (almost 85% of graduates are in grad-level roles or further study)*
- This makes Exeter 7th in the Russell Group and 12th in the UK for graduate outcomes
- 2021/22 graduates: Placement students are 11.5% more likely to have a positive Grad Outcome than non-placement counterparts.
- According to High Fliers**, we are regularly an institution of choice for the Times Top 100 graduate recruiters and consistently in the top 1), ranking 8th in the 2025 report.

Expanding Global Connections: A Successful Year for International Employer Events
In 2024-25, the 91天堂色情片 significantly expanded its collaborative events with international employers, focusing on hosting career fairs, updating students on labour market trends, and sharing alumni success stories. This initiative involved more than 150 employers across 10 major events, engaging over 1000 international students.
The year's activity highlights a successful blended approach, providing multiple platforms for students to connect with global organisations. Key events included:
- Large-scale In-person Fairs: In September 2025, 75 Chinese employers participated in our two-day in-person career fairs and workshops in Shanghai and Shenzhen, attended by 230 graduates.
- Targeted Online Recruitment: We hosted numerous online events, including graduate programme promotions for 39 employers from China, HK, and Southeast Asia (March 2025) and separate campus recruitment presentations for 46 Chinese employers (September 2025).
- UK-Based Engagement: In the UK, we facilitated connections through targeted events like a mini-China job fair in Bristol with 3 top Chinese employers (October 2025) and a Study UK event where 50 Chinese students met 6 employers in Bristol (March 2025).
- Campus Visits & Insights: We welcomed a major Chinese energy company to campus for a meaningful conversation about jobs in the technology industry (October 2025) and hosted online sessions with Chinese employers sharing crucial labour market updates with graduating students (July 2025).
The feedback from these events has been overwhelmingly positive from both employers and students.
Cornwall welcomes employers to the Penryn Campus
Every year, the 91天堂色情片, Cornwall welcomes a variety of employers on to the Penryn Campus. Objectives vary, so a wide range of options to enable employers to connect with students across multiple disciplines are made available.
The Careers and Opportunities Fair runs in October and is open to all and attracts an extremely high proportion of the Penryn student community.
The Ecology, Conservation and Environment Fair is one of the largest events of its kind in the South West. The fair attracts a wide range of organisations offering support to students, placements, graduate roles and volunteering opportunities.
The Penryn Campus Part-Time Jobs Fair is run in partnership with Falmouth University (with whom we share the campus). The fair connects local and regional employers with students looking for part-time and seasonal work to support them during their studies
Employers often ask for a more in-depth experience to profile their brand, outline recruitment opportunities or in more specialised areas, discuss placements and Masters projects. These presentation and networking events (often branded as Pint ‘n’ Pasty events, especially when hosted by companies associated with Camborne School of Mines) can be targeted at and marketed to students from specific disciplines and are an excellent way of forming a deeper connection with your potential employees.

Professional Pathways delivers again
This is a unique employability programme that saw 45 speakers from 28 companies deliver sector focused training to 105 students over a week-long period this year.
This was followed by a short-term internship that took place mid-June through to early July. It allows employers to have additional resource and new creative ideas from our amazing students.
Past employers have really valued being part of the programme. For our students it’s a great way to get an insight into the sector, network with industry professionals and gain some valuable paid work experience. Student interest is currently high with over 800 student applications received for our last cohort.
We are bringing the programme back for June/July 2026 with programmes in:
- Pathways to Marketing
- Pathways to Arts, Culture and Heritage
- Pathways to Charity & development
- Pathways to Professional Services in Higher Education
We primarily work with organisations based in the Southwest but several were from further afield including London.
This programme is well received by employers and feedback includes:

The interns contributed to strategic activities such as market research, pricing analysis, content development, and marketing improvements. These efforts aimed to identify audiences, enhance digital offerings recorded sessions and downloads), and improve sales effectiveness despite limited resources. "

Launch of new careers events for autumn 2025
We are always keen to diversity our offering and this year was no different.
Our Careers Fairs remain some of the most popular events we offer, so we were delighted to introduce our STEM Careers Fair to our portfolio for autumn 2025. Piloting it as an evening event to maximise attendance of those STEM students with densely packed timetables through the day, it was held in our showpiece Forum Building on the 4 November from 18:30-20:30.
It proved an extremely busy couple of hours, where we welcomed 24 exhibitors and over 550 students – fantastic numbers on a rather cold and rainy evening!
We were thrilled that 100% of our employer attendees confirmed they would recommend the event to other employers and that all were either very satisfied or satisfied with the event. We’ve taken away some great suggestions to implement for next year’s fair and look forward to making it a permanent addition to our events programme.

STEM Careers Fair exhibitor, 2025
Autumn 2025 also saw the launch of our first Creative Industries Speed Networking event, where 4 speakers met with 71 students to talk careers from working in the media through to being an author.
With such high interest levels and delightful student feedback, this is an area that we plan to expand our provision of going forward.
